Naruto – Ch. 485

Leon: Here we go again. Naruto vs. Sasuke with a Rasengan vs. Chidori showdown. If common sense and logic is used here, then Sasuke should lose this with no questions asked. Naruto has fresh legs while Sasuke has been spamming and consuming chakra like there’s no tomorrow. Also I’m pretty sure Naruto still has far more chakra than Sasuke and the only way I see Naruto not winning this is if he wusses out. I swear though if his third choice is declaring he wants to save Sasuke…*sigh*

Youko: Naruto vs. Sasuke commences again, and nothing has really changed. I do wonder if Kakashi really was gonna kill him, but too bad Naruto stopped him (Kakashi was stopped by that?). Again, there wasn’t much progress from the last chapter as we still have yet to learn what Naruto’s decision is regarding Sasuke. They clearly haven’t shown who’s stronger than the other, but I think we’ll find out soon.

Bleach – Ch. 394

Leon: Dude. Yamamoto is a BEAST. Wonderweiss never had a chance despite being able to temporarily seal Ryuujin Jakka. It is pretty interesting thought that old man Yama revealed himself to be the 30th Captain Commander and has been one for 1,000 years. Goodness gracious. Just how long has Soul Society been around then? Anyway, it seems like this is one trump card of Aizen’s that has failed. Unless of course some new hax measure is introduced which I don’t put past Kubo. Either that or Gin gets involved or something while Ichigo stands around staring like a fool.

Youko: So it seems Yamamoto proved to be the strongest in the end. I had a feeling he wouldn’t be out so easily just because his Zanpakutou was stopped. Did Aizen forget Shinigami can use Kidou or something? Hopefully this means this fight is over because they’re never gonna get to Aizen like this.

One Piece – Ch. 576

Leon: Awesome chapter was awesome. Yet it was heartbreaking as well because Whitebeard has officially died. Wow. TWO people have now died in One Piece. I’m astounded. Ace and WB were the last guys I expected to go. Still, it was pretty lame of Blackbeard and his fail crew to attack him all at once. Surely they would have died if they tried one-on-one anyway. The most amazing part of his death though is that he died STANDING UP. EVen more impressive was that he has absolutely no wounds on his back. His story may be over now but his legend will carry on for sure. I can’t even begin to imagine what’s going to happen next with Blackbeard and his goons now on the scene.

Hunter x Hunter – Ch. 299

Gene: lawl Togashi. The hell did I just read. It looked like a gay cannibalistic orgy more than anything. Too bad Pitou wasn’t there to enjoy it. I probably would have been a bit turned on. Anyway, this chapter portrayed how creepy the Royal Guards’ admiration for the King can get. He really is God to them. On another note, I’m surprised the nuke managed to do some serious damage. He would have died if his lackeys didn’t show up right when it happened. But of course regeneration to the rescue. Well it was more like a feast. Wonder how much he has to eat to get back to par. This could be a good chance to kill those two off.

Katekyou Hitman Reborn! – Ch. 280

Leon: Finally. FINALLY. This arc has come to an end now that Tsuna has dealt the final blow to Byakuran. Everyone was pretty shocked about what happened to Uni and Gamma and that punk had to go on and on about how he was planning to use Uni as a tool. He had to be looking for a brutal beatdown from Tsuna by doing that. I found it a bit funny though that we got a brief flashback of how and why he started this whole craziness while he was getting blasted away by the X Burner. It was far too late for me to care!

PSYREN – Ch. 109

Leon: Oh. My. Goodness. Amamiya was SO ABSOLUTELY CUTE in this chapter! I was pretty surprised to see that romance was being pushed so hard in a shounen series like Psyren. Granted we were always given little hints that Yoshina and Amamiya liked each other but it was never blatantly shown as much as it was in this chapter. They were so close to kissing too but of course they were interrupted. On the more serious side of things it seems as if the time has come to make a return trip to the future. Yoshina’s idea sounds pretty insane considering I’m pretty sure that Miroku in the future is far more powerful than the one in the present. He can’t be serous about infiltrating the WISE HQ just to “ask him some questions”.

Bakuman – Ch. 76

Youko: Wow, what a strong chapter. The signs of Ashirogi slipping in their manga were pretty much presented throughout the whole chapter. Shujin’s gags weren’t funny at all and I think he’s overdoing it. This could really kill them. Not only is +Natural popular, Eiji’s becoming the hot topic. Eiji’s TV appearance brought it all down on Saiko. I never seen such a sight from him. The frustration finally gets to him once he made that call to Azuki. After this you gotta wonder what’s gonna happen now. Saiko wants to stop doing Tanto, Shujin’s overworking himself… it’s all going downhill. I might have been right when I said Hattori’s plan could backfire. I really want to read the next chapter already to see what Azuki can say or do to get Saiko back on track.

Leon: It looked as if Shujin was about to drop dead in this chapter. Tanto is really taking a toll on him physically and the same is happening to Saiko but mentally. I had a feeling that Tanto wasn’t going to be what brought them back to the top but I didn’t see these breakdowns coming so quickly. Saiko’s was pretty brow-raising though because he stormed right out of the studio, back to his house, and called Azuki up. He must be really torn up after seeing and hearing what Eiji said to him and to the nation. I can hardly wait to see what will go down in the next chapter.

Beelzebub – Ch. 51

Leon: Looks like things are about to get serious once more in Beelzebub. Oga and Aoi were hanging out for most of the chapter and ended up being forced to be “in charge” of making sure their schoolmates don’t get into any trouble. Of course, they both end up encountering Rokkisei because of the mere mention of the name and even Furuichi has been approached by one of them. It’s going to be interesting to see what happens between him and this Miki guy but even more interesting to see what will happen with Oga and Aoi versus those other two Rokkisei members.
