Hajime no Ippo – Ch. 884-885

Gene: Yeah, Ippo. I’m watching. Watching you get your ass kicked that is. Honestly if this were a match in real life, the ref would have stopped this faggotry already. Ippo’s face looks like it should really be at a hospital right now. Well at least some progess was made in these two chapters. Miniscule progress but progress nonetheless. Woli’s leg was obviously not hit by the stool so it seems something is building up in the back. And there’s no doubt this will give Ippo his chance for a comeback KO.

Leon: How long has this been going on? It seems almost as long as the Gedo match. After going through all this garbage for weeks upon weeks I hope those five taps will finally mark the beginning of Ippo’s comeback. I’ve grown tired of Woli and this entire match long ago and it just needs to end. If we’re lucky he’ll get caught in a Demsey or mid-air with a gazelle punch would be epic.

Mahou Sensei Negima! – Ch. 281

Gene: Fuck yeah, Yue kicking ass. I keep forgetting that that timid little girl is a knight now. Boy, has she grown. I have to say that Negi is building up quite the arsenal in his harem. Nodoka and Yue have demonstrated their offensive capabilities and of course there’s Chachamaru with her pactio. Gotta love the design of that satellite of hers. And only in Negima does it make sense. I don’t know if the Nekollite of Doom is her only weapon, but considering how her pactio is based on Chao’s futuristic inventions we’ll probably see more to come.

Leon: Ken sure has been on a roll lately. Another awesome chapter featuring Yue showing off her magical skills and Mana, yet again, laying the smackdown on fools all over. Even Chachamaru pulled a KOS-MOS-like move and summoned some crazy cat satellite in space to annihilate that gigantic monster that was raising hell. Absolutely insane. All that’s left is for things to shift back to Negi since the threat is pretty much gone now that Fate, Master Mage, the giant beast and the majority of the magical force is gone.

~Good Ending~ – Ch. 22

Gene: What’s this? A shounen romance male lead that’s not pathetic? I’m glad Utsumi man’d up and took the ticket back. I didn’t want to go down the route where he would go with the other chick to the concert and an awkward relationship would ensue. And I applaud the author for not taking a shit on her manga and prolonging this. Because there’s no doubt Risa’s ass would get rejected if that did happen as it’s apparent that she has feelings for him. But things are going just as planned now with the gap between Utsumi and Kurokawa closing in slowly.

Leon: Once again Gene’s blindness shows. Risa confirms that she has the hottest body in the entire manga but managing to beat out Eri. Of course, lucky bastard Utsumi gets to see it all while she was changing. Funny thing that he almost ended up going on a date with her but decided to make it known to Yuki that he wanted to take her and wasn’t having it any other way. I think if it was any other shounen romance male lead it wouldn’t have happened that way but rather spiral into insane misunderstanding after misunderstanding. Still, he’s pretty crazy for not being interested in Risa just a little. She’s calling you senpai, dude!
