Naruto – Ch. 484

Leon: Yup. Naruto saw it. I’m hoping this means that he’s realized what he has to do now. Sasuke doesn’t need ‘saving’ but a good beating. He’s obviously lost his mind and seems to be on his way to losing his sight. I’m still “surprised” that he was able to use mangekyou sharingan and Susanoo yet again while fighting Kakashi. Hasn’t he been spamming those all day? It’s no wonder he’s almost blind. I’m guessing this means that Naruto will have the advantage here if this situation boils down to another fight breaking out. I imagine it will probably be interrupted by Madara coming to save the day though.
Youko: What did I tell you? Old Team 7 reunited, and in a sticky situation. Sakura tries to prove herself once more again and she almost gets killed for it (once more again). I was expecting Kakashi to save her but Naruto jumping in was a good move there. Now we just have to see what Naruto has decided regarding Sasuke. So far, the Kakashi vs. Sasuke fight was a little underwhelming. Somehow I should’ve known it was gonna be interrupted, but not this quick.
Bleach – Ch. 393

Leon: Another dumb chapter which featured Ichigo standing around doing nothing. The highlight of craziness though is when old man Yama arrived on the scene he’s trolled by Aizen having coincidentally having modified Espada, Wonderweiss, that extinguishes flames. Absolutely ridiculous amounts of fail. I hope that old man Yama still owns the hell out of this idiot and gets back to Aizen. I imagine Gin will soon step in for no good reason. Oh and Ichigo will still be standing around doing nothing. Woop.
Youko: This is the next ridiculous thing I’ve read since the true Espada numbers. You finally get to see old man Yamamoto do something and he gets owned for a big time by a mental retard of an Espada. Well this is simple. Being especially made to stop Ryuujin Jakka, does it have any resistance to other zanpakutou powers as well? I don’t believe that Wonderweiss is even Aizen’s trump card at all. Why, not even Gin has done anything yet, and he won’t be until, oh say, 5 volumes afterward.
Hunter x Hunter – Ch. 298

Gene: Wow, this chapter was just exploding with detail. Although the art throughout wasn’t consistent at all, it certainly is amazing coming from somebody like the lazy Togashi. Moving on to the chapter itself… fuck so this is really the end for Netero. I wasn’t expecting him to blow himself up like that. Honestly from the way he was wording his last line in the previous chapter, I thought Gon or somebody was going to fucking pop out of nowhere. At least he went out with a beautiful bang (dohoho). In any case, I’m sure we all know Cell is still alive even after an explosion like that. The question is what kind of appearance he will have. That nuke had to at least blow his torso off (which he can probably just regenerate).
Katekyo Hitman Reborn! – Ch. 279

Leon: Oh man. This was such a sad chapter. True, Tsuna and Byakuran are fighting it out but Uni stole the spotlight. Her powers, while insane, come at the price of her life and she realized that in this chapter by actually fearing death. I imagine anyone would be scared, especially a kid such as her. Even so she continued on until Gama joined in to help her speed up the process of reviving the Arc0baleno. In the end both of them died so that Tsuna and the others will be able to return to their own time. Wow. Deep stuff.
PSYREN – Ch. 108

Leon: So the WISE have finally assembled minus the remaining two members that we’ve already seen in the future. I’m really looking forward to seeing how Yoshina and the others will fight it out with these guys before “that day” comes again. Things keep looking much better for Yoshina especially since he always finds a new way to use his Psy and I think that will come a long way against the WISE. Even Kabuto has stepped up his game and seems to have gotten stronger while the others were doing the same. I’d like to know how the others are doing in the future about now though.
Bakuman – Ch. 75

Youko: I’m getting mixed feelings about Tanto now. Ashirogi’s made it a hit with the kids, but that seems like the only demographic it’s geared to. While not bad, I’m not sure how that will affect their popularity, unless they get thousands of kids reading Jump. Of course, they did want to give it a Doraemon feel so it’s within the realm of children popularity. However, that’s just something I don’t think Ashirogi is really looking for, even if it turns out successful. And that’s exactly what I think Eiji thinks if he says he’s stopped reading it. Now with +Natural and Crow kicking asscotch, Eiji’s certainly become number one mangaka, and that means it’s about time he slams down the “cancel hammer” on one manga he hates.
Leon: Ashirogi definitely doesn’t seem content with their current status in Jump. Well, Mashiro is definitely thinking about it but Shujin seems to be focusing more on Kaya’s well being now and probably wants to play it safe. Tanto definitely seems to be doing well as far as attracting a kid demographic but that can only take them so far unless more kids start buying and reading Jump. Pretty much everyone else that they know is doing better than they are but the Jump staff seem to think it’s doing very well. I’m guessing that’s because gag mangas don’t usually have those kind of rankings. Trouble may soon come their way though now that Eiji has revealed he isn’t reading Tanto anymore. The cancel order looms…
Beelzebub – Ch. 50

Leon: I was laughing a lot more than usual while reading this chapter. Seeing Oga and Furuichi’s reactions to Kazu were priceless and I think their heads are definitely going to get even more inflated as long as he’s around. A new antagonist force has finally been introduced in the form of the “Six Knights” which contain members from St. Ishiyama’s clubs. One of them also knows Oga somehow and it looks like we’ll see how in the next chapter or two. I’m going to guess that this new guy is probably an old neighbor or friend from elementary school.
Medaka Box – Ch. 39

Leon: So THAT explains why Koga’s boobs can defy gravity. She’s an android! That revelation would normally change things but Akune doesn’t seem to be that afraid. I just don’t see how his judo is going to do any good here now because holds are useless against her and I doubt throws are going to be any better. There’s also the fact that I’m pretty sure that if she gets a clean hit on him that’s going to be the end of the fight. Unless Akune has some secret anti-android technique I don’t think he’ll be winning this battle at all.
