As most of you may already know episode 16 was a pure recap episode. I decided not to blog it after seeing it myself as it doesn’t really add anything to the series. It wasn’t a particularly good recap either. The story was retold from the point of view of Pin’s crazy old men and them and their commentary weren’t too entertaining. If anything, the episode reminded me of how beautiful the soundtrack for this show is. Though if you skipped 16, you didn’t miss a thing.

Episode 17 begins with a fresh start from all the Kurumi-filled episodes. Yano and Chizu go over Sawako’s house to visit and they pretty much hang. Nothing extraordinary, but seeing all three together outside of school was fun. The episode eventually led us to Pin’s house where he believes he’s being cursed so he asks for help from the friendly neighborhood exorcist Sawako. Kazehaya continues to cockblock any male towards Sawako and it’s still fucking hilarious. The development in their relationship progressed somewhat in the episode, but just by a little. For a second I actually thought he was going to nail that kiss. Too bad. But Pin’s the man for coming up with that shit. I don’t mind going the slow and steady route and at least Sawako is prepared to tell him how she feels someday (whenever that is). In any case, cute episode overall. Even cookie-kun got a bit of screen time with his dear Pedro. The stoic types usually have cute things as their weakness and he’s no exception.
