Naruto – Ch. 472

Leon: What a crazy fight. Kisame has proven himself to be insanely powerful but it looks like he’s been screwed over by Samehada. The thing actually likes Bee now after absorbing so much of his chakra. I guess it must really taste that damn good. Even so it looks like Bee is out of luck unless that goofy guy helps him out or Samehada comes back and smacks him in the face.
Youko: Man, Kisame has this. Or he did, until Samehada switched sides with Hachibi. Yeah, Hachibi’s chakra is massive, but the dude was on par with Kisame, though Kisame had the advantage overall. Delicious chakra must be its weakness. Don’t tell me Hachibi and Samehada will fuse…. Sharktopus?!
One Piece – Ch. 564

Gene: Holy shit, motherfucking Whitebeard tilting the Earth itself. I thought it was just earthquakes he could do, but man this guy’s a fucking beast. Anyways, interesting plan Sengoku has built up here destroying the enemy’s footing. I’m expecting Jimbei to swoop in and save the day though this might be a bit much for him handle. Whitebeard didn’t seem too fazed by the new turn in events so he might have something up his sleeve.
Leon: Oda’s awesome streak continues! I have to admit that I was tripping the hell out when Whitebeard started tilting everything. I thought that the entire planet was going to be turned upside-down. That guy really is god-level to be able to pull off that kind of insanity even after getting stabbed in the chest. Sengoku’s plan seems to be pretty solid though and Luffy and the others may just be in trouble but I think that either WB or Jimbei may have a plan. I can’t imagine what else can be done to escape those projectiles.
Katekyo Hitman Reborn! – Ch. 267

Gene: First dinosaurs, then mermaids. So close to dropping this. Then all of a sudden the Varia appear. Damn you, Amanooooo. Also is it me or is the art getting progressively worse in this series? I could barely tell what was happening in this chapter. Or that may be laziness. Seriously, what’s with Zakuro’s hell form design? At least make it look like you put some effort into it. It’s almost Togashi level.
Leon: What’s with these Hell box transformations? Those are some crazy convenient power-ups that don’t seem to be worth the stress on the body. They don’t appear to be on the same level as the Vongola boxes either but look pretty damn close. Anyway, while the dinosaur and mermaid appearances may be hilarious at first glance they are pretty wicked ability-wise. It looks like their end is near though now that the Varia have arrived. Seriously, Xanxus is probably just going to erase them in seconds.
PSYREN – Ch. 96

Leon: So the fight is finally over. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that Miroku won though. I wonder where things will go from now though since it seems like Yoshina and the others won’t be going back to the future any time soon. Instead he and Amamiya are going to see his dad and ask about that Uroboros thing that covers up the planet in the future. I’d like to see what they would do if they find out about Miroku’s broadcast though.
Bakuman – Ch. 63

Youko: Shuujin looked like a real jerk this chapter. I know he means well, but the treatment towards Miyoshi is just a bit lacking. Gladly, Miho returns to the panels so I’m hoping she can actually do something and show up. For now, it’s focusing on Ashirogi’s manga, and, what the cuss, Saiko’s new character design for Tanto is fugly. Yes, you need to give him a unique look, but this is just asking for attention. I much preferred the original Pinocchio style he had going for it. I mean, I can’t imagine this weaselface performing mischievous perversion. The duo seem to be communicating well with Miura now, but it’s going too well. Rather, it feels as if Miura is the one writing the damn shit, which I don’t like. As the mangaka, Shuujin and Saiko have a range of freedom. Miura is playing more than editor so this might make their manga crumble. The Akamaru one-shot will tell us what will become of this.
Leon: Oh dude. Shujin really should be more careful with how he’s handling this whole misunderstanding with Miyoshi. It’s not going to end well if he continues to ignore her. Then again, the lucky bastard now has Aoki starting to like him and she’s a older woman than both Miyoshi and Iwase. It’ll be interesting to see how that drama plays out. Manga-wise I’m looking forward to seeing how this gag manga does in Akamaru but I’m also curious about this Shizuka guy/girl. They must be really good to be hyped up this much.
Gene: lol I like how they’re putting Miyoshi’s teenage drama on hold. “We don’t have time for that shit, we have manga to make!” Anyways, so “Run, Daihatsu Tanto” is done and in Akamaru. The whole concept still sounds stupid to me and I lol’d at the main character’s ass-shaped hairdo. Well, it’ll be interesting to see how it’ll do in the reader polls and if Miura is on the ball with this one. Personally, I’m hoping it will fail so Ashirogi can move on from this gag shit. And the author has been hyping “Shizuka-kun” for a while so I want to see how Ashirogi would fare against that.
Beelzebub – Ch. 38

Gene: Whattt? Transfer schools? Fuck that. It’s time to take on the demon world. Though there’s no doubt that hilarity would ensue if the gang hits a normal school. Unless there’s another delinquent school in town.. Anyways, not much happening in this chapter besides the aftermath and a bunch of foreshadowing. Interested in seeing what’s up with that demon chick who was at the wreckage site. She looks like she could be a hottie. :3
Leon: I can’t imagine a school that will accept all those transfer students. Though I don’t really expect much of them to transfer since they didn’t seem to be into learning at all anyway. I really hope that things get more hectic with the demon world coming into play though. Hilda may have given us a hint of it happening when she mentioned that “the real thing starts here” to Oga. There’s also that new demon girl who was at the school wreckage. She looks like serious business and may give Hilda a run for her money for hottest demon chick!
Medaka Box – Ch. 28

Leon: Nothing about this chapter made any sense. Well aside from Medaka stripping into a teacher-like outfit. The whole door of rejection thing seemed to be an obstacle that would have stopped anyone except Medaka but it was proven to be a joke once Kikaijima got through and Akune destroyed it. Eh, at least the whole student council is together now. I’m still not sure what they plan on doing against these abnormals though. Hopefully Shiranui gets in on some of the action too whether as her normal self or as that disguised abnormal (yes I really do think it was her in there).
Gene: It’s been a while since we’ve seen a strip scene from Medaka and it was as glorious as ever. What’s with the sexy formal attire though? Not that I’m complaining, but it seems a bit random especially since they’re going to go into battle soon. In any case, it’s awesome to see Akune and Kikaijima joining the frontlines. I’m sure Akune will be able to hold on his own, but I have hard time picturing what Kikaijima will do. Something strategy oriented perhaps?
Ane-Doki – Ch. 20

Leon: Oh god. Just when I thought Natsuki was the hottest of her family now the eldest sister enters the scene. By the way Natsuki and Chiaki reacted it seems like she rules over them naturally. Natsuki was pretty terrified to run all the way from home to the school just to find the haunted house but apparently it worked on her sister. I’m guessing she doesn’t do well against monsters? Anyway, I’m interested in seeing where this goes and if she too will be moving into Kouta’s house. Oh yeah, I think she further gives off the image that their family may be rich. Kouta will be a lucky bastard if he plays his cards right!
Youko: So Natsu really isn’t the oldest in the family? Well gosh be darn, it’s a Hatsukoi Limited character! Another wild beauty that has more emphasis on the build and the hawtness. I won’t be surprised if she stays at Kou’s place-because anything can happen at this point-and I also wouldn’t be surprised if there was actually an imouto either. In reality, on an offshore island, the family has a legion of 2000 daughters… also, lol, was that a K-ON! insert?
