So I know I said I didn’t mind Kuroko and her lesbian shenanigans in my entry of the first episode, but now I’m not so sure. I have to say she was pretty annoying in this centered episode of her. Her jealousy and weirdness can only go so far and it went to the point where it annoyed me. I think this was particularly because the focus was on her for twenty minutes. In small does, Kuruko is pretty funny (imo anyways). But then comes the “bawww onee-sama doesn’t like me” and over the top reactions and there the line is crossed. Even after being punished by the dorm supervisor (who btw scared the shit out of me with that neck twist), all she could think about was raep time with biri biri. Hell, there’s nothing wrong with thinking about that (I mean who isn’t?), but she needs to calm down there. She should consider herself lucky that Misaka even bought something for her for a one month anniversary. By the time Kuroko was indulging herself in masochistic pleasure, I didn’t even know what I was watching anymore.

Episode 2 was mostly a lulz concentrated episode that served at best to give a bit of insight on the Misaka and Kuroko dynamic. I did enjoy the biri biri hnnngg moments so I’d say this was a decent episode all around. I thought the most interesting part of the episode was the very first scene of Misaka chasing after Touma. The reason for the chase and attack is a mystery at this point so I hope there’s more detail on that soon. You really only get to see a glimpse of Touma’s face as if the show’s trying to mask his identity or something. Or perhaps it’s waiting on a more proper introduction for that moment.

From the preview, it’s hard to make out if anything is actually going to happen in the next episode. The only indication I have is from some random chick smirking at the end. And for all I know she could be another Misaka-crazed lesbian.

Ending Song: 「Dear My Friend -Mada Minu Mirai he-」 by ELISA

Honestly, I don’t have any particular thoughts about this ending sequence. It’s the typical upbeat cool-down ending that everybody should be used to by now. The visuals portray tranquility with the mellow colored backgrounds and the main four casually walking towards us. Overall, the sequence gives off that best friends forever feeling which is also reflected in the lyrics of the song.
