Yoku Wakaru Gendai Mahou ep. 7 & 8

Is it funny that Koyomi still wants to master magic? It is funny, but it’s also kinda sad because I know she’ll never be able to do anything besides summon wash basins. Well, not that they don’t have its own uses, but if that’s all she’s capable of doing, there’s something going on that’s probably making her defective, or I’m just thinking to deep into this and it’s purely for comedy sake. I never thought a turtle-shaped backpack would be what she’d pick as a magic item, but hey, since it fooled me she can disguise it as just a regular backpack. I think what’s really cool about episode 7 was the girls going to Shibuya for the hell of it. I never get tired of seeing Shibuya in other forms. As Kaho was talking to Koyomi, I realized that for a stoic girl, she’s very insightful and pretty down to earth. Anyway, I thought the story was pretty random because all they were doing was finding lost kittens. There sure are a lot of people who lose their cats. Bad owners or perhaps the cats are bad. Just look at what it did to Koyomi’s turtle backpack.
So I have no idea what “scratch monkey” meant and I still don’t get it, but it was interesting to see a Misa-focused episode for once. We get a little glimpse of Misa’s child self, very much different from the person she is now. An airplane violently shaking and crashing down and she’s as calm as a cucumber, which makes me believe that she really shows no hesitation at all and can deal with any situation. To add to that, she went outside of the moving airplane. Where is that weak spot of hers, I wonder. I’m not exactly sure who this dude is, but since he somehow got a hold of this sword that appears to be taken from Misa’s, that could only mean he’s plotting something bad.
