It’s about time these robots appeared. The whole point of the robot convention scene was for this episode. Though I hope this isn’t just a one episode thing. BONES better keep them for future episodes if Japan wants to market these things. And with high-tech robots came a robot nerd. It’s pretty cool how robots saved his family’s life and he wants to make those same robots, blah blah. But this kid needs to chill here. The moment I saw him on top of that crumbling building trying to help one of those chibi robots I said to myself “What the fuck is wrong with this kid?” Robots are replaceable, but there’s only one robot nerd like him. Not only was it stupid, but he got Mirai involved in the danger as well. That was one nasty cut she came out with, but luckily the rescue squad was on site.

Yuki needs to chill as well. I was surprised he was running around just trying to touch those damn things when he could collapse at any moment. The scene did give Mirai some time to shine though, finally acting the older sister part and just being a brave character overall. The final scene was pretty dramatic with Yuki collapsing all of a sudden. I doubt he’s dead. Would be too random. But he’s definitely in a serious condition. I can see Mari and Mirai carrying him to a nearby hospital next episode.

Oh, and I can totally see this show’s epilogue now. Several years later, Mirai and her family visit a robot convention together as one big happy family and they see the robot fag there too. He blushes, then Mirai blushes, and everybody just dawwwwwws
