HIGHSCHOOL OF THE DEAD ep. 8-9

Why, MADHOUSE, why?!

This pretty much sums up episode 8:

That, and the ripple effect on Rei’s breasts. But on a more serious note, this episode reveals how much Takashi sucks ass with guns. It also tells us that for some reason, people always drop their damn bullets. I can understand their being nervous, but they drop their bullets too easily. Dem butterfingers. You know, when the girls all changed, I thought they were all new. Rei and Saeko are still wearing their uniform’s top, but Takagi changes into something else. And ...

HIGHSCHOOL OF THE DEAD ep. 6-7

So I admit, I wasn’t serious when screencapping episode 6, but then again, I don’t expect anyone to think there wasn’t a reason for these pictures. Anyway, nothing much really happened here besides Hirano and Takashi planning out what to do. There are some crazy folk still out there and it’s turning into hell. While that goes on outside, inside the girls are having a most pleasurable time in the bath together. What does Rei have to complain about. All these girls are big-busted.
After that fapulously faptastical faptacular of an ...

Mitsudomoe 2nd Season Green-Lit

[via ANN via other sources]
The wraparound jacket band on the 10th volume of Norio Sakai’s Mitsudomoe manga has announced this month that a second season had been green-lit. Animator Satoshi Kubo (Eureka Seven, Fullmetal Alchemist, Guin Saga) had indicated on his mixi social networking service account last Tuesday that Mitsudomoe will run for one kūru [cour] (one quarter of a year), go on hiatus for another kūru, and then run again for a second kūru.
I must be like the ball because I’m on a roll with these Mitsudomoe ...

Ookami-san to Shichinin no Nakamatachi ep. 10

Were there any fairy tales with rape in them?

And with this episode, the plot is in motion and shit will soon hit the fan. The most logical solution would be to call the police at this point (kidnapping is a serious crime for those that forgot), but of course that won’t happen. Instead we’ll get an awkward but slightly cool rescue scene from the remaining Otogi Bank members. With Ryouko already a captive, Ryoushi will most likely be on point especially with his newly acquired combat experience. And I’ll be ...

HIGHSCHOOL OF THE DEAD ep. 4-5

Since Leon doesn’t finish blogging anything, I decided what the hell, and finish HOTD. Well, actually, since Leon doesn’t feel like blogging HOTD anymore because he’d be comparing it to the manga too much, I decided, what the hell, and share my thoughts as I haven’t read the manga at all. So, what the hell, let’s move on.
Episode 4′s first half was boring as hell thanks to a recap. Really? A recap this early? Why, Madhouse? So I didn’t bother with any shots from there, though the latter half was ...

Mitsudomoe ep. 9

Episode 9 was the most hilariously outrageous episode ever. The humor was not only good, but the direction of the humor was by far the greatest execution I’ve seen. Every act delivered, so let’s break each one down starting from the first one. I can’t get enough of the Gachiranger misunderstandings; there’s always some new ridiculously clever words thrown in that has more than one interpretation. Once Hitoha mentioned “gattai” and favorite “moves” I knew where things were starting to go, and where it goes it ends in an unexpected ...

Mitsudomoe ep. 8

Great to see Mitsuba have focus in a segment again after what little she got from the last episode. And just when she’s back in the spotlight, she acts as crude as ever to Hitoha. It’s pretty funny, but poor Hitoha. The little bond they shared inside the gym equipment storage room was very funny. The highlight of this part goes to Hitoha’s mocking of Mitsuba’s “baaaaaaaakaaa.” Those faces were priceless.
Hitoha gains more of the limelight as well with the next two segments. The Chikubi thing wasn’t anything laughable, but ...

Mitsudomoe ep. 7

So the opening intro added sound effects this episode? That was really something. Thankfully it was only this episode that did that. It kinda distracts you from the song. Anyway, the formula in this episode was no different from previous ones, but the content and interaction was really great. In the first part, we see how Hitoha became a Gachiranger fan. She wants to tell everyone how awesome the Gachirangers are but is too shy to say anything about it. A little discouragement from Mitsuba prevents Hitoha from saying anything ...

Mitsudomoe ep. 6

This episode brought out a lot of fun in each of the three girls’ respective acts. I really like this formula, obviously because it fleshes out each character more, but it also delivers a variety of humor in numerous situations, for better or worse. The first two acts features Futaba and her dad, who is unsurprisingly still peered as a vicious molester. Understandable, of course. I didn’t find the whole night training thing all too funny. Actually, I thought it was kinda weird that Futaba would even be at school ...
